Following up on the first test day back in February for the Knoop-Mann Special Lister, HG Trackside went out to Buttonwillow again to conduct more testing.
Piloting the car again was Oscar Jackson Jr., Jackson Racing race driver and Team HG Trackside driving instructor. After a number of laps the first go around, Oscar had a better idea of how the KMS behaved and what to expect. The track configuration for the weekend was counterclockwise #1 this time, though. This provided a better all-around test now having driven the car in two different configurations.
Having crew chief Oscar Jackson Sr. present, testing ran flawlessly. The car ran in the TTU category and took the top spot on the podium.
“What a trip it is to drive this beast,” Oscar Jr. exclaimed post session. “I am really starting to understand the car and what it likes, even traveling at warp speed.”
The KMS Lister will undergo further testing prior to the Hawk Motorsport event at Road America in July.
